Crazy. How are people meant to get to work then in London?

For Christ's sake. Most employers won't be allowing office workers back willy nilly! It's not a free for all.

My work won't be re-opening any time soon until they have proper consultation on distancing etc.

But eventually, yes, London will have to manage public transport and travel to work. The planning should already be under way.

I can't see that much has changed to be honest - but concede that the message has become  less starightforward.

Not much has changed I'd agree - personally I think it was a waste of time watching it .

If there is only 3years going back then social distancing should be easy to sort

And anyway many constructions workers have been in all along anyway. Probably one of the easier industries to do so given the level of protective equipment required

Have you ever been in a Reception class?

I wonder what a school classroom will look like when they go back? Teachers wearing PPE? Everything wiped down often? The parents trying to SD outside while trying to control the kids. Some won't though. Just had an image of a load of noise where the Mum's are having to shout at each other with the distancing.

That's hilarious for someone who is one of the worst armchair critics on this Forum.

At least my comments are rooted in the science and reality. You ought to try it sometime.

I assume that walking along the beach if it's local to you would be acceptable.  But that excludes driving to the coast to sunbathe, sit on the beach and eat and drink.

Can you tell me how you are going to get a class of 30 three year olds to socially distance? I'd greatly appreciate knowing how because in 25 years working in schools I've never seen it happen.

You could be walking along the beach to the construction site...

That's the problem here.  The message was clear,  now there are lots of assumptions being made - Loads of "if's and but's" and  massive scope for boundary testing.  BJ says the penalties for not complying are to be ramped up,  but the Public and Police need to be crystal clear what the law actually is !
