It had stopped raining for quite a while during this evening but as I write, it is raining here in Edinburgh once again.
For the second day in a row, nothing in the way of sunshine was recorded for today at Edinburgh Gogarbank so that although we are less than a week into this month, today has already been our second completely sunless day of this month and our 6th sunless day of this autumn.
However, a total of just 1.8 mm of rain has been recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank since 09:00 UTC along with 2.8 mm at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh although this does mean that today as a result, will go down as yet another official rain day at both of those stations.
Today's maximum temperature at Edinburgh Gogarbank was 12.3°C, but the temperatures are refusing to drop yet again which means that even at 11pm tonight, the temperature was still stuck at around 12°C here in Edinburgh.
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
