Here in Edinburgh, the rain is still pelting down. It had become not quite so heavy for a while, but it has become almost torrential at the moment as I write.
As at 11am, a total of 10.8 mm of rain had been recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank along with 13.2 mm at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh, and the data for the next couple of hours will probably show those totals to be quite a bit higher than that.
As this is happening, nothing in the way of sunshine has been recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 12 noon.
Furthermore, the temperatures are also refusing to rise here and with a brisk wind coming straight in from off the North Sea, it actually feels rather chilly here.
Meanwhile, the temperature is currently stuck at just a rather miserable 15°C here in Edinburgh just now.
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
