We might well have just entered British Summer Time, but this morning has started off on a cold and frosty note with only the first official air frost to be recorded at all three of my local stations since 10 March which is exactly three weeks ago.
However, that has also taken us into a bright and sunny start to today and despite the fact that we have lost that hour due to the change of the clocks, a total of 36 minutes of sunshine has still been recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 8am this morning.
Last night's overnight minimum temperature was -0.9°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, -2°C at Edinburgh Airport and -0.1°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
Meanwhile, the temperature at 8am this morning was 0.2°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, -1°C at Edinburgh Airport and 0.3°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
