Here in Edinburgh, the spring borefest goes on as it remains completely overcast with nothing which is even remotely interesting in terms of our weather actually happening.

Meanwhile, the temperature at midnight was 8.9°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 9°C at Edinburgh Airport and 9.1°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

Grim, dreary soul destroying overcast mild muck that bears no resemblance whatsoever to springlike conditions. It's even worse than last week's anticyclonic gloom.

Awful extremely boring temperatures as well with a min of 8.5C and up to 10.6C. Truly desperate stuff that nightmares are made of.

It did get a little bit brighter for a while during this morning, but it is still mainly overcast and so a total of just 6 minutes of sunshine has been recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 12 noon.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 12 noon was 11.2°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 11°C at Edinburgh Airport and 12.2°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh, so it is slightly warmer today than what it was yesterday.
