Today started off on a fairly bright note, and total of 2.2 hours of sunshine has been recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 1pm this afternoon.

However, the day has descended once again into yet another boring, dull and overcast nothingness with yet more constant grey skies, only an isolated very brief glimpse of the Sun and even some very fine drizzle in the air at times.
