It's raining here in Edinburgh yet again!!

Having said that though, the amounts of rain which we have had so far tonight have been very small and in the end, a total of 1.0 mm of rain fell during yesterday at Edinburgh Gogarbank along with just 0.4 mm at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh. However, this does still mean that yesterday will go down as yet another official rain day at Edinburgh Gogarbank.

The overnight rain has now cleared away and the Sun is shining here in Edinburgh although nothing in the way of sunshine has actually been recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 8am this morning as there is also still some cloud around as well.

This morning started off on a bright and sunny note but there was then a cloudier period later on when we also had a brief passing shower of rain. Now, there is some cloud around but also some sunny intervals and the result of all of this is that a total of 3.6 hours of sunshine has been recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 12 noon with no further additions to today's rainfall totals so far since my last report here.

However, the wind has picked up a bit more once again, and was gusting up to 34.2mph from the west at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 12 noon.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 12 noon was 9.5°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 9°C at Edinburgh Airport and 9.5°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh, so today is slightly cooler than yesterday at the moment.

After a dull, damp and breezy morning, the sun has popped out and the wind died down and thus the 14 c & 72% h feel lush for it.

Just a couple more days of this Autumnal-like crap to get through and things can only get better from there on.
