The Sun is already shining here in Edinburgh as we have now returned to our more typical clear and sunny mornings for now.
However, there was a cloudier period during the early hours of this morning and although the temperatures then resumed their downwards trend once that had cleared away, this was enough to completely scupper our chances of getting an official air frost at any of my three local stations which means that our frost-free hell goes on here.
This of course, might not have been so bad if we had at least got some interesting weather out of of that just like what the vast majority of people who have posted on this thread during this morning so far have been getting in their own part of the world.
But no, this shows once again that getting any sort of weather which is even remotely interesting in this part of the world is usually always asking for too much, and that is why I always refer to this particular location, as the most boring part of the UK when it comes to our weather.
Meanwhile, the temperature at 8am this morning was 2.0°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 0°C at Edinburgh Airport and 1.8°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
