First actual air frost of the season still present but is thawing in the rising sun. Currently 5.5 c (think that's the sun shining on the sensor) & 74% h from a min of -0.3 at 8 am. Calm winds too.

Hardest frost so far this winter. The hoar frost was glistening on the cars in the light from the streetlamps by late last night, and had spread all over the garden by daybreak. I set the alarm for 5am to get up to view the lunar eclipse, which was good to see as usual, but after about 15 seconds, since it was perishing cold, I decided that I had seen enough, as I had seen one several times in the past. The most memorable occasion being when I drove to the top of Ashdown Forest to get away from the streetlights so I could see the total lunar eclipse and the comet that was visible with the naked eye at the same time.

A horrible raw, grey and unpleasant day that has gone on to be followed by a disgusting mild, wet evening. 3.8C currently which is higher than it was during the day. An utterly vile winter that only shows signs of getting even worse.

Moderate rain, moderate southerlies, 3.5 C @ 95% RH and pressure has fallen rapidly to 1003 mb.
Edit: 2332: Frontal boundary just moved through .. recent gusty winds, heavy sleety rain and temp. now down to 1.8 C @ 94% RH
Currently light westerlies with light rain.
Well that weather front passed very quickly - it did turn to ice/hail for 5 minutes in a heavier burst toward the very end, but it has moved across the south west already and fairly quickly! Much quicker than I thought actually! Originally the main band of 'precipitation' was ,meant to clear through between 3am and 6am but it's already cleared through by 23:30pm.5c here now and temp is falling as is pressure!
Temp. now down to 1.1 C here, recent sleet. Untreated roads are going to be tricky.
