The anti-cyclonic gloom has returned to this parts, and the temperature has now as I had expected, gone up to the point where it is now slightly above the maximum temperature which I had already reported for yesterday as this most boring so-called "winter" which I can ever remember goes on.
Meanwhile, the temperature at midnight was 5.1°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 5°C at Edinburgh Airport and 4.8°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
Another frosty night here, mostly clear and calm, -1.9 C @ 94% RH and pressure has fallen a little to 1031 mb. Looking like the last of the air frosts here for a week or so at least.
Calm with patchy cloud. 1.2c

Every day waking up to the same suicide inducing frost free gloom. It's 9.3C already. Disgusting and beyond belief quite frankly that this horror show keeps sinking further and further into the abyss.

A rather overcast, dreary and depressing start to this morning as the borefest goes on (as per usual, nothing which is even remotely interesting in terms of our weather is actually happening or even likely to happen any time soon) with the return to our usual frost-free horror show once again.
As we have gone on through the early hours of this morning, the temperatures have carried on going up, so the temperature at 9am this morning was 7.8°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 8°C at Edinburgh Airport and 7.8°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
Unbroken overcast, calm, dry.

Overnight low of -3C and the ground was all white with frost, even though it had clouded over to virtually complete overcast before sunrise. Reports of a few sleety snow showers around in the SE on Twitter.

Nothing has changed here, so we still have that same monotonous gloom which we had earlier on which means that nothing in the way of sunshine has been recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank.
It is also milder than of late once again, so the temperature at 12 noon was 9.2°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 9°C at Edinburgh Airport and 8.8°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
