Cloudy, dry, calm. Unlike this time yesterday (when the temperature was in freefall), it's getting gradually milder. It's 5.9C, which beats yesterday's daytime high of 5.6C comfortably!

Yet another day has started off on a dull, dreary, depressing and soul destroying note as this complete borefest which is known as"winter" continues to drag on.Last year at this time, there was at least some snow in my Mum's garden which was still around when I came home a few days later. Yet there was never going to be any chance of that happening this time.Currently it is around 10°C here in Hawick as this so-called "winter" continues to go completely down the toilet pan.

It’s the end of the world as we know it (and I feel fine) - R.E.M.
Overcast and mild. Temperature up 10 degrees first thing this morning when compared with same time yesterday at nearly 9C.
Didn’t make 10C so still no double figures this month as yet.
Meanwhile, Edinburgh Gogarbank recorded its second of two back to back sunless days which makes today the 11th sunless day of the winter there.
Now once again, the temperatures are refusing to drop which means that the temperature as I write continues to be stuck at 10°C.
