Ridiculously boring as always these days. Temperature stuck on 5C for over four hours following a max of only 6.7C.

5th day with measurable rain this month none of which has recorded more than 2mm

Still rather windy here with fairly frequent showers continuing to be blown in from the west through the Forth-Clyde Valley just now.

That has increased today's rainfall total so far as at 8pm this evening to 4.8 mm at Edinburgh Gogarbank along with 3.4 mm at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

At the same time, maximum wind gusts at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 8pm this evening were now getting up to 44.7mph from the WSW.

As a result of there being too much cloud and far too much wind around, the temperatures are refusing to drop once again and in fact, they temperatures have actually gone up slightly during the last couple of hours.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 8pm this evening was 7.1°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 7°C at Edinburgh Airport and 6.9°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh which for all three of my local stations, isn't that much different from what it was in the middle of the day.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
