Surprisingly low total of 91.6mm (112%) compared to the SE'ly horror shows of 1984 and 1997 which each recorded around 270mm.

Just goes to show how boring it was with day after day of gloom and light rain that never added up to much. Highest daily total was just 14mm which was also the wettest day of the autumn - the lowest such total in my records back to 2005.

Big contrasts between the East coast, exposed to the SE garbage and the Moray Firth coast which is sheltered from it.

Balmedie:76.2mm

Nigg:82mm

Dunnottar: 106mm

Westhill: 125.4mm

Nairn: 21.8mm

Kinloss: 22.8mm

Culloden: 26.4mm

Lossiemouth: 34.4mm
