I'm still not getting all of the data through which I need to compile these posts properly and since the weather in this part of the world is so boring just now, I don't really have anything to report here just now (for more details, please have a look at my last post in yesterday's thread as the weather in this part of the world hasn't changed a bit since then). Nevertheless, the rest of you are more than welcome to post your own observations here, which is why I have still created this thread anyway.

Pretty nasty outside right now, very heavy rain with pea sized hail mixed in also gusty winds making it look worse.

Still nothing much to report here except that there was a little bit of rain during this morning which has resulted in a total of 0.6 mm of rain being recorded for today so far at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh as at 8am this morning, but with nothing at all in that department at Edinburgh Gogarbank.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 8am this morning was 12.7°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 13°C at Edinburgh Airport and 12.7°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh which is hardly worth while even reporting since that is barely any different from what I reported last night at around 8pm.

Dull and blustery but isn't raining for now (5.6 mm fell in the early hours). The strong southerly wind is making the current 12.5 c & 90% h feel cold.

Finally, I have some interesting weather to report as we have just had some heavy rain here, but I am still not able to give the full picture of what is happening since the data which I need to be getting in order to report that properly, still just isn't coming through.

The only thing which I can say here is that a total of 2.0 mm of rain has fallen at Edinburgh Gogarbank during the last hour which means that today will now go down as an official rain day there. However, we are still getting nowhere near the amounts of rain here today, which I have seen being reported for elsewhere which means that compared to what it is like in other parts of the country, our weather continues to remain relatively boring and uninteresting.

Meanwhile, a total of just 36 minutes of sunshine was recorded for the whole of today at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 4pm this afternoon, with that now looking like today's final total for there. Today was also slightly milder than yesterday with the temperature getting up to a maximum of around 14°C although it has now dropped slightly to around 12°C.

Currently p**sing down as a heavy shower trundle in from the Channel. 10.4 mm so far since 12 am (5.6 of it last night and the rest in the form of the current shower).

11.0 c but at least winds are lighter compared to today where it has been blowing an in-your-face southerly gale all day.

Is it too soon for me to say I'm already bored of Autumn?

The rain from earlier on today has cleared away for now.

I'm still not getting all of the data through which I need to properly construct these reports, so I am relying on SEPA just now to help me with filling in the missing details for today's rainfall so far. From that, I can see that a total of 3.0 mm of rain has fallen during today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 8pm this evening, along with about 1.2 mm at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh. This means that today will go now down as an official rain day at both of those stations.

I don't have enough data though, to be able to give a full picture of what the temperatures are doing, although I can report that the temperature has dropped at around 9°C as at 8pm this evening.
