Took these photos from Rixton Claypits in May, not sure how often you see a bat in broad daylight but I was amazed and fortunate to see this wonderful animal in flight.

Used to see them in good numbers when I lived in Scarborough - they'd come out at dusk in Peasholm Park. A captivating sight.
