The east pier extension has been inaccessible for many years but the bridge is to be rebuilt next year.
You can see how effective they are at keeping big waves out even when a N.Easter is testing them thoroughly.

Its not far from here, and I was there to catch some pics and video of the remarkably silly Goth weekend.

Its noticeable that a good percentage of visitors are from all round the world
