Very strange feeling outside. Everything is soaked in dew but it's quite warm and steamy in the breeze. Temp is already upto 15c and the low sun is very warming on your face.

A bit of fog first thing and a heavy dew - everything soaking wet.  Min temp overnight 8*C, now 17*C and warming up rapidly in hot sunshine.  Clear blue sky, calm, 1015mb.  Not as good visibility as yesterday - the hills are quite hazy.

Fine and sunny, although there is a soft mellow haze to it all and dew in shaded areas had not yet evaporated.

A balmy-like 19.7 c & 76% h despite a moderate south east breeze.

EDIT: Just reached 20.0 c.

An increasingly sunny morning has resulted in a total of 2.2 hours of sunshine being recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 12 noon.

I've just been outside and it certainly feels more like the middle of summer out there just now, rather than what is supposed to be the middle of "autumn". At the moment, the actual temperatures here aren't quite reflecting that, although it is still very warm for the time of year.

On that note, the temperature at 12 noon was 18.2°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 16°C at Edinburgh Airport and 16.3°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

Great reading the high temperatures; not quite so high here- 21.7 but rising even now; oddly, it reached 21.4 before noon (1 pm) and then slumped back for a couple of hours.

Sunshine is strong- close to factor 3 but felt more.

Clear skies, light to moderate ESE winds, 20.4 C @ 67% RH and pressure @ 1008mb falling. Maxed out a short time ago at 20.7 C, the breeze coming in from the adjacent countryside and mere has pegged back temperatures by a degree or two. I think Manchester reached 23 C earlier.

Made the best of the weather today by visiting the Imperial War Museum North at Media City by the side of the Manchester Ship Canal. A very interesting day, All by train and tram from Cheadle Hulme.

It`s been a glorious sunny warm day with a high of 21.7C and it`s still 21.2C now.

Stunning Autumn day here. Max in south Edinburgh just under 20 C with blue sky all day and warm golden sun. Morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea all outside in the city centre 😎
