Yet another bright start to yet another morning, although there is now a lot more in the way of cloud which the Sun has gone behind.

Last night's overnight minimum temperature was 8.6°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 6°C at Edinburgh Airport and 6.9°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 8am this morning was 9.6°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 9°C at Edinburgh Airport and 8.7°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

A fine afternoon with near unbroken sunshine and only scattered cumulus.

17.1 c & 56% h but there is something of an onshore SE breeze. This morning's low was 6.3 c at 6.30 am.

Awful high pressure that has failed to deliver a single fine settled day. The last few days were sunny but spoiled by the usual nasty cold wind and even showers on occasion. Today was just horrible, cold and cloudy with that vile wind yet again and more stupid, pointless and disgusting drizzly rain. Max of only 12.1C.

A stunning autumn day today. A bit on the chilly side to start with but once that sun got going it was lovely. Got up to 16.3°C under mostly clear skies.

Today brought a lot more in the way of cloud. There was even the odd sprinkle of rain and it wasn't anywhere near as sunny as recent days with a total of just 2.2 hours of sunshine being recorded for today in the end at Edinburgh Gogarbank.

It is also very windy as well with maximum wind gusts at Edinburgh Gogarbank reaching 39.1mph from the SW.

Today's maximum temperature was 14.6°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 15°C at Edinburgh Airport and 15.2°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh, so today was slightly warmer than yesterday.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 8pm this evening was 12.5°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 12°C at Edinburgh Airport and 13.2°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
