Once again for the second day in a row (which doesn't happen very often here, although I shouldn't be surprised that this has happened given that we are no longer in our summer), the day has started off on a bright and sunny note with 12 minutes of sunshine being recorded for today so far as at 8am this morning.

Last night wasn't quite as cold as the previous night, but it was still cold nevertheless and so, the overnight minimum temperature was 5.6°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 3°C at Edinburgh Airport and 4.2°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 8am this morning was 7.2°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 6°C at Edinburgh Airport and 7.1°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

Fine and sunny, just a bit of a north west breeze. Very pleasantly warm in the sunshine when in sheltered sun traps (eg, my east facing back yard in the morning).

Currently 15.4 C & 61% H from a low of 7.1 C at 7 am.

A bit more in the way of cloud has started to build up, but there has been some decent sunny spells this morning with a total of 3.8 hours of sunshine being recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 12 noon.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 12 noon was 12.6°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 12°C at Edinburgh Airport and 13.6°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

It has been a glorious day with unbroken sunshine (except for one cumulus cloud that obscured the sun for 2 minutes just after 3pm). 

15.6c following a high of 16.0c.

There has been some cloud around today which has resulted in today being not quite as sunny as yesterday. Nevertheless, it was still a decent enough day anyway with plenty of sunshine, so a total of 8.4 hours of sunshine was recorded for today in the end at Edinburgh Gogarbank.

Today's maximum temperature was 14.0°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 14°C at Edinburgh Airport and 14.7°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 8pm this evening was 10.4°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 10°C at Edinburgh Airport and 10.8°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
