Yet another horrible and depressing excuse for a September day.

As is always the case when we are under colder air these days there is that vile nagging wind making it feel deeply unpleasant as well as preventing any cold nights from occurring.

In addition it has now almost completely clouded up after a sunny start and the temperature is a woeful 11.2C with that howling nasty wind. Just an absolute joke. Without doubt this is the worst run of weekend weather I can ever recall. Practically every weekend day for the last two months now has been awful.

Rather overcast and the leading edge of the general rain is just turning up here. Also a notable coolness in the air at 14.3 C & 68% H but quite windless. Looking set to be a properly soaking weekend, it's just as well as my thirsty looking lawn could use it and at least the wind threat has been dropped now. Besides, it may be a while before we get anything like this again going by the medium range outputs.

Dry until late morning, then light to moderate rain.  Now light drizzle and the wind has turned faintly easterly, temp dropped to 16*C.  Looks like this weekend might mark the end of the pleasant gardening season, as the soil won't warm up again until next year.
