Here in Edinburgh, we are now seeing the tail end of Storm Bronagh as it is raining outside just now.

A total of 1.6 mm of rain fell during yesterday at Edinburgh Gogarbank along with 1.6 mm at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh, so yesterday will now go down as yet another official rain day at both of those stations.

Last night's overnight minimum temperature was 9.0°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 8°C at Edinburgh Airport and 9.4°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

Yesderday's maximum temperature was 12.9°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 13°C at Edinburgh Airport and 13.9°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

Meanwhile, the temperature at midnight was 7.8°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 9°C at Edinburgh Airport and 8.5°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

Broken cloud, moderate SW winds, looks like a squall line approaching from the west on the radar. 13.8 C @ 95% RH and pressure @ 989mb.

Edit: 01.27 BST .. Sounds like the line squall has arrived - gale force winds and heavy rain! 

All quiet here now, post cold-frontal squall line! Temp. dropped several degrees - now 8.5 C and pressure has risen quickly to 994mb.

Awakened at 1am by doors rattling and rain lashing and had to close bedroom window, but it quickly calmed down. Now dry and windy. 10c. 

On a min of 7.5C but it was 15.1C at 12.42am, which I suspect will count as the day's max.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 8am this morning was 7.1°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 7°C at Edinburgh Airport and 7.1°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

Very little rain overnight - just enough to dampen the bare earth, but the roads and pavements are dry already.  Now bright and sunny with a clear blue sky, and a blustery wind.

After 32.6mm rain since 1pm yesterday It`s dry with sunny intervals at the moment, although a dark looking sky to the North.

Fair and bright with sunny spells and cumulus. The 17.2 C still feel summer-like warm when sheltered from the brisk west breeze.

Indeed it did get very blustery for a short time in the early hours but it only delivered a meagre 2.0 mm of rain so the dryness continues - but it appears our luck will come to an end over the weekend. Oh well, it's not that I have a raft of plans lined up for the weekend.

Hi, Ian! Cool here with frequent showers, moderate to fresh westerlies, 10.3 C @ 94% RH and pressure @ 1006mb rising quickly. 7mm from today's showers. I'm losing count, but I think we've had 67.2mm from this weather system here .. what's it's name? 

Sunday does look a tad damp! Might miss the worse here if that system tracks further to the south. Yes, looks all quiet as we go into autumn proper - post equinox! Chilly in the house here at 16 C - defo having the wood burner lit tonight - Helga will be pleased, lol! Bright here now but those winds have picked up a notch.
