It's still raining here in Edinburgh as I write.

In the end, a total of 5.4 mm of rain fell at Edinburgh Gogarbank during yesterday along with 4.2 mm at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh. This makes yesterday the wettest day of both this month and this autumn so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank and the second wettest day of both this month and this autumn so far at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

However, it has actually warmed up as the evening and night has gone on, so the temperature at midnight is now up to a very warm and humid 14.4°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 14°C at Edinburgh Airport and 14.3°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh which isn't even much lower than yesterday's maximum temperature during the day.

Gosh! 17 years since 9/11

Back OT.

Muggy, warm, and sticky tonight - another uncomfortable night for sleeping with cloud. The good news is that there is more of a breeze and this is coming in from the south-west so at least cooler air can be felt with the window open this time unlike before.

But 19c outside is plenty warm enough for a night time min - We are now in Autumn! Nights are too warm still!

Rain has been much heavier than the radar (which looks useless) has indicated. Haven't check how much, but light to mod rain for the best part of 3 hours here.

Today's maximum temperature eventually reached 16.2°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 16°C at Edinburgh Airport and 16.4°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
