Starting unsettled but eventually a north/south split with the south dry and warm while the north is cooler and more unsettled.

Well I think it depends where you are - Summer goes on for England and Wales (albeit at a much reduced level compared to July) but for Scotland and Northern Ireland it could actually be a relatively unpleasant week to ten days to be honest...
