Another fine summer's day with unbroken sunshine. It is being a more "sensible" 24.1 C here on the coastal edge, but it's the 68% H and lack of winds that is making it feel rather muggy with 18 C DP.

Well we reached 22 C earlier in sunny spells but we have cloud and rain again now and quite windy

As we got further into this afternoon, the Sun came through a bit more although that has now been replaced by yet more grey skies. It has also started raining although according to the latest radar maps, this doesn't look like anything more that a light passing shower at the moment.

It is also warm and close. Just like yesterday at this time, the temperature also hasn't yet peaked for today at all of my three local stations and so, the temperature at 5pm this afternoon was 21.0°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 22°C at Edinburgh Airport and 22.0°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

As I write, that "rain" which Jerry mentioned has now passed over without even dampening the ground, and it is starting to brighten up again.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

Another fantastic day and another great evening in the garden with 28C now and a lovely breeze. 

I really don't recognise the 'awful heat' reports and I commute to London! But everyone is different I guess

2nd day since Friday with a 29.9c max, plus 29.6c yesterday, beginning to think the VP2 has something against hitting 30c now :)

Another lovely day though with little cloud, currently 27.9c.

Although there is more in the way of cloud around just now, this evening has actually been mostly sunny for a change and in the end, a total of 5.0 hours of sunshine was recorded for today at Edinburgh Gogarbank which makes today, the sunniest day of this month so far.

Today's maximum temperature was 21.6°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 22°C at Edinburgh Airport and 22.5°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh which makes today, the second sunniest day of this month so far.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 9pm this evening was 16.8°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 16°C at Edinburgh Airport and 17.2°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

A mainly cloudy day today as we moved from Scotland to the Lake District.

A fine evening with clear spells here near Penrith. 17.2c following a high of around 20c.

After having experienced 10 weeks of heat this experience is wonderful.
