There's been more cloud around this afternoon and it is also rather breezy. However, there has still been some decent sunny spells at times as well with 10.4 hours of sunshine having been recorded for today so far as at 5pm this afternoon.

Today's maximum temperature was 22.1ºC at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 22ºC at Edinburgh Airport and 22.3ºC at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh so that today was slightly cooler than yesterday, though still fairly warm.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 5pm this afternoon was 21.8ºC at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 22ºC at Edinburgh Gogarbank and 21.9ºC at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

That seems to have worked for Facebook users. Wish posting pics through TWO could be as easy!

A completely sunny evening here in Scotland's capital city since my last report on this thread has led to the rather impressive total of 15.1 hours of sunshine being recorded for today in the end at Edinburgh Gogarbank. That makes today the second sunniest day of this month so far and the fourth sunniest day of this year (and this summer) so far.

Although today was slightly cooler than yesterday in terms of the temperature, it is taking a bit longer for it to cool down tonight compared to last night. This means that the temperature as at 10pm tonight was 16.0ºC at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 17ºC at Edinburgh Airport and 17.0ºC at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

25C here, and were in the current hotspot (city airport was 25C at 9.30).

I think today will see 32 somewhere. Peak of this particular hot spell.
