It's dry and clear here in Edinburgh. Furthermore, we have now also lost those persistent easterly winds which have been around for so long now so for once, we shouldn't have to worry about any muck coming in from off the North Sea.

Meanwhile, the temperature at midnight was 14.3ºC at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 14ºC at Edinburgh Airport and 14.0ºC at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

This morning has started off with something which we haven't seen all that often these days which is bright sunshine to start the day with. It's not completely sunny and there is some cloud around, but a total of 2.1 hours of sunshine has been recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 8am this morning.

Last night's overnight minimum temperature was 11.8ºC at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 12ºC at Edinburgh Airport and 13.1ºC at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh which makes last night, the mildest night of this month so far at all three of my local stations.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 8am this morning was 15.9ºC at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 16ºC at Edinburgh Airport and 17.0ºC at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

From December 27th 2020, zonality will be banned from mixing with the UK. We appreciate that this may come as a shock to younger people and old Uncle Barty. This ban will last for a minimum of ten days.

Fair with hazy sunshine, although there are "Florida"-style cumulus bubbling up over them thar hills and I can see sea mist lurking over the Channel. Currently 21.4 C but it's winds being light and the 77% H that is making it feel very muggy.

Today was supposed to be cooler and cloudier than of late in this part of the world according to the latest official forecasts, but that is not how today has turned out to be.

There has been some cloud around at times, but the only cloud which I can see just now are a few fair weather clouds and as at 12 noon, a total of 5.9 hours of sunshine have been recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank.

Meanwhile, the temperature at 12 noon was 21.1ºC at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 22ºC at Edinburgh Airport and 22.0ºC at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh. That already makes today, the warmest day of this month so far at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh and the joint warmest day of this month so far at Edinburgh Airport.

So much for today supposedly going to cooler and cloudier than of late then!!
