Fine and sunny, continuing to be as dry as a nun's chuff.

A very warm 25.7 C currently from a minimum of 19.3 C at 6 am - NOW Kent is certainly feeling the effects of the near continent.

From December 27th 2020, zonality will be banned from mixing with the UK. We appreciate that this may come as a shock to younger people and old Uncle Barty. This ban will last for a minimum of ten days.

Overall a very disappointing day here in Edinburgh so far.

The Sun has made very fleeting appearances during this morning and it has felt quite warm in that sunshine when it has been there, as long as you are out of that bracing easterly wind. However, there has still only been that 6 minutes of sunshine from this morning which has been recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 12 noon with nothing at all in that department since 8am this morning.

As I expected as well, the temperatures are refusing to rise just now in this part of the world just now and at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh, the temperature at 12 noon isn't even much different from what it was at 1am this morning. So, the temperature at noon was 14.8ºC at Edinburgh Gogarbank, 16ºC at Edinburgh Airport and 14.6ºC at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

When you consider that we are now in what is supposed to be high summer, that is absolutely pathetic!!

A very pleasant 30C with a F3 easterly and blue skies. The slight dampening of the soil yesterday evening is but a memory today.

Talking of tinder conditions I wonder how many people have used the stuff or even seen it?

Another fantastic day in Cambridge, temperature around 26C, light breeze with low relative humidity, blazing sunshine with only the smallest of wispy cirrus clouds, just about as good as it gets!

Clear skies, a moderate easterly breeze, 27.1 C @ 27% RH .. no wonder the countryside is so dry! Birch trees always seem the first to show signs of stress here with yellowing and premature leaf fall. Pressure has risen to 1018mb.
