Thanks Schmee.

Here's the Winter 2018/19 NAO Forecast video

https://www.gavsweathervids.com/

Using May 2018 sea-surface-temperature anomalies in the Atlantic Ocean to project what the NAO state could be during Winter 18/19.

Will put this video on a new page specifically for Winter 2018/19 updates with a written summary for anyone who can't watch the video this evening.

The first ball in the bag for winter 18/19. 😁

The NAO Index though quite a good indicator with it being right 2/3 times could well be being overridden with the signal for the AMO returning to its negative phase as you say Gav. Some very interesting times ahead with the continuing slump in the present solar cycle and the next one being projected to be equally as low or lower.

Combined with a -AMO then the chance of colder than average winters occurring over the next few years should increase significantly, all being well. 😎

Thanks Windy!

Yes SC, although we seem to be entering the cold AMO phase again that doesn't mean we can't have cold winters as we know from the mid 1980's etc...

Have added the Winter 2018/19 NAO Forecast to the newly created Winter 18/19 Updates and Forecast page + A written summary for anyone who can't watch the video;

https://www.gavsweathervids.com/winter-2018-19-weather-forecast.php

Winter 18/19 updates begin Sunday 2nd September.

Terry Scholey's July 2018 was released earlier this afternoon as well;

https://www.gavsweathervids.com/terryscholey.html

And with that we're done for another week... #Phew
