The moors look good with Cotton Grass and Bell Heather starting.It's very dry up there though.

Who cares about going abroad when you have this sort of scenery.
No doubt it will be pollution smog once fires hve broken out due to the heat or vandalism.
Some people walk in the rain.

Refer to post #5 Fire broke out at the end Of Bath road and black smoke bellowing up from it. Nice and smelly on a hot day like yesterday.
I suspect due to an inversion(?) the smoke from that big fire covered a very wide area, and is gently circulating in the anticyclone.
I think the MetO vis sat shows the plume from the Oldham fire all the way out to the west coast ( south of the Ribble)
