Haven't noticed anything from Lowestoft area (perhaps I should have looked harder), but it was widely seen over central northern England (like Yorkshire). Having said that, saw lots of interesting high clouds on Saturday (23 June).

I have seen noctilucent clouds on Friday night (22/23 June), which may have played a part in producing sun pillars. Hope to post some pics sometime.

Yes, sun pillars were widely seen. It wouldn't have been the same sun pillar seen from all locations ie the sun pillar I saw wouldn't have been the same one seen from somebody say from Lincolnshire.

It was evident from here yesterday evening
