Winter is set to arrive soon Winter is expected to arrive in the UK during the next few days as colder weather begins to develop bringing an increasing risk of frost and fog to much of the country. Through next week temperatures may well continue to fall, and snow may affect parts of the country. The colder conditions may persist during the run up to Christmas. Brian Gaze for TheWeatherOutlook said, "We are expecting high pressure to build across the UK bringing quieter and drier conditions during the next few days. As this pushes further north next week it will allow increasingly cold air from the north and east to begin making its way towards Britain, and snow may well become an issue." The autumn was almost frost free in southern parts of the country and the first days of winter have generally been very wet, but rather mild, so the change to colder conditions will come as quite a shock to the system. TheWeatherOutlook's long range winter forecast issued at the beginning of December suggested the UK would have a slightly colder than average winter. Please contact us for more information.
