Data feeds

If you want to add a weather forecast to your web site or social networking page you've come to the right place. TheWeatherOutlook makes weather forecasts freely available for all of the locations in our database. Simply enter your UK postcode or select a location and then press Create feed to immediately get your RSS 2.0 feed link. Simply copy this link (ensure you've copied ALL of it) and add to your RSS 2.0. enabled web site or web page.

Facebook provides a number of RSS 2.0 readers which can consume the feeds we provide. Just search the applications available for an RSS 2.0 reader. Here's an example we've set-up.

A wide range of international locations are made available including most of the major ski resorts.

Detail

This provides an in-depth weather forecast datafeed for up to 48 hours ahead stepped at 3 hour intervals.

Overview

This provides a summary weather forecast for up to 6 days ahead.

UK postcode

Enter the first part of the UK postcode (e.g. W1, YO14) and select Detail or Overview then press Create feed.

Once your feed URL has been created you will need to copy it and add it to your RSS 2.0 reader. Once added the weather forecast data feed you have created should update automatically as new data becomes available to us.
