I wouldn't rule out Sweden holding France to a draw. Unlikely, but not impossible.

My biggest concern is England doing the business against Ukraine. Anyone else a feeling of foreboding? I wonder what odds I could get on Rooney being sent off...?

I have to say I do a bit all the pundits and most fans seem to think we are definitely in the quarters, But Ukraine are at home with 60,000 fans behind them and know if they win they are definitely through. Look what happened to Russia 4 points from first 2 games only needed a point against a very very average Greek side and couldn't do it. It's not going to be easy it never is with England. The squeakiest of squeaky bum time coming up.

I definitely think Ukraine to score first is THE bet. Then we will see what England are all about...

IF we then draw or win and face Spain, oddly I do not feel that worried, I think Roy will guide us to a victory over Spain playing stifling horrid but pragmatic football. The next round however....

Somehow I feel that Sweden will pull their socks up this time and beat France.

Can we beat Ukraine yes, will we, good question.

We could actually lose to Ukraine and still go through but it would take Sweden beating France by 2 goals more than we lose to the Ukraine by. So very very very unlikely.

Spain of course could actually be knocked out tonight if they lose to Croatia and Italy win. Unlikely you would have to say but it would be fantastic if it happened. I think the world has had enough of tippy bloody tappy.

That would be some result, considering Sweden are a shower of **** and have nothing to play for. Should be a straight forward frog win, unless they decide to run up the white flag.

A point against the Ukraine should be more then possible, apart from the fact that it is the host nation in front of fanatical home support.

I will go for it being Ukraine 0 - 0 England UNTIL the 90th +5 min injury time where by Ukraine will score a deflected goal to win 1 - 0 with the last kick of the game. Mean while France will lose 1 - 0 to Sweden, and we go out on goal difference.

No, although I don't know if you're watching this? Croatia just has an extremely good shout for one turned down.

Croatia have Spain somewhat rattled here. They are trying to get their dull 2 yard passing routine going, but they're being smashed off everything. Highlights a couple of things; firstly, how poor Ireland are, and secondly, how Spain don't like it up 'em. They still look well capable of scoring, though.

It was that foul that made me wonder about the penalty situation generally.

In England's group? On paper it's England, but football isn't played on paper. You can't see France losing to Sweden, but who knows? I still think England have every chance of getting beat by Ukraine. So many permutations
