For some reason, probably because I never expected us to get out of the group, I have only just realised that we would most likely play Spain in the next round if we do go through tomorrow............and there the journey ends

Somehow I feel that Sweden will pull their socks up this time and beat France.

Can we beat Ukraine yes, will we, good question.

Spain of course could actually be knocked out tonight if they lose to Croatia and Italy win. Unlikely you would have to say but it would be fantastic if it happened. I think the world has had enough of tippy bloody tappy.

A point against the Ukraine should be more then possible, apart from the fact that it is the host nation in front of fanatical home support.

I will go for it being Ukraine 0 - 0 England UNTIL the 90th +5 min injury time where by Ukraine will score a deflected goal to win 1 - 0 with the last kick of the game. Mean while France will lose 1 - 0 to Sweden, and we go out on goal difference.

Croatia have Spain somewhat rattled here. They are trying to get their dull 2 yard passing routine going, but they're being smashed off everything. Highlights a couple of things; firstly, how poor Ireland are, and secondly, how Spain don't like it up 'em. They still look well capable of scoring, though.

It was that foul that made me wonder about the penalty situation generally.

Italy winning. If it stayed like this the runner up in England's group would play Italy not Spain.

Spain seem to be camped out in Croatia's half, a goal seems inevitable.

Hopefully it will be Croatia on the break.

Ireland seem to be playing against 12 men so far. A couple of dodgy refereeing decisions (although unfortunately the Italian goal was a good call).

The tv pundits reckon that Croatia, will look to hold Spain until the last 20 minutes or so and hope to nick a goal.
