First part of your post makes a valid point. The rest of course was written to add a little mischief perhaps, but if anyone speaks into a camera / mic pitchside then yes it will get broadcast and if it is a prem game then yes it will be broadcast in the UK and Worldwide and if the game is played at lunchtime and broadcast live then yes it will be piped into peoples homes at lunchtime in the UK + most of europe and at other times worldwide.

Maybe you (and FIO) see this differently, but I view the random swearing by player on the pitch (or coaching staff on the touchline) as palpably different to running over to a camera, thrusting your face into its lens, and swearing down it.

Just to add a bit of context, Robbie Fowler was banned for 4 games for light-heartedly sniffing the touchline in response to taunts from Everton fans that he was a coke-head.

You'd think Rooney had killed a child the way some people are treating him at the moment. The amount of stick he's getting is completely unjustified. I expect to see the PM on television any day now blaming Rooney for ruining a generation of Children with his naughty language! 

I find what Rooney did distasteful, but the reaction from some of the media and the public is ridiculous. I think SAF's press conference was great where he said a few words about the superintendent who thought people were interested in what he had to say about it.

As for this season, when Hodgson left I don't think anyone with a braincell gave Liverpool any chance of a climbing far enough to grab a CL spot. I still think it's just too much to make up, but looking back at some results since Dalglish took over, we drew 1-1 at home with Wigan and lost 2-1 to both Blackpool and WBA - in all three games we scored first and couldn't hold onto a lead. If we'd conceded just one goal less in each of those games, we'd have been level with your lot (albeit having played a game more) and only one win behind Citeh for 4th.

The grapevine says the deal's done, but officially no decision has been made.

TBH, I can't see John Henry risking the wrath of the Kop by appointing anyone else. In fact, by giving Dalglish the job, he's in a no-lose situation as far as the fans go. I have my reservations over Dalglish (as I've said on here before), but I'd be happy to see him have a go, because he's certainly turned our seson around - and in the games against the higher-placed teams, he's got his tactics and the effort from the team spot on; it's just when playing cellar-dwellers that we've played crap

1- Draw level on points with Shiteh

Always far better to get recognition from your peers (some of whom will have had practical experience of playing against you) than hollow ringing endorsements from either the media or armchair pundits.

I doubt the outcome would have been that different had the vote cut off point been later. Still, that's academic anyway.

IMO Bale has had a few fantastic games other than that he has been average or appeared as the invisible man. I do feel that there were one or two players especially non attacking players that would have deserved the award before Bale.
