..........and to finish a poor night for English clubs in Europe, Liverpool went out as well after a goaless draw at Anfield

As far as Rangers are concerned, very disappointed indeed with them. I really thought they would beat PSV and advance to the quarter-finals- wasn't to be though.

Liverpool are flip flopping between good and poor with their performances, Dog leash needs to string some results together. Man Shiteh just a bunch of mercenaries taking a pay cheque, greedy individuals who are nowhere near a decent team.

Everyone in the team played well - apart from Jenas who is utter shite. Gomes had his one howler for the game, but I'm not that bothered about that.

Questions will be asked about Harry's priorities ie. CL vs EPL. But hey, more people will come over to my way of thinking when we fail to seal fourth spot in the EPL.

As for putting Jenas on the RW, that's proof to me that 'Arry has utterly lost the plot.

Genuine question: Isn't the fact Spurs are challenging for the top 4 again and have at least made a CL QF overachieving anyway? I wonder if too much is being expected? As I say, genuine question

In the sense that we are still challenging for fourth spot is overachieving, but that's because we have strikers who can't perform the simple task of putting the ball in the back of the net. God forbid, if we didn't have VDV and Bale scoring this season we'd be below the Bindippers. If we had Defoe scoring say 15 goals, as opposed to 2 we'd have been in a better position than we are now.

This is the strongest Tottenham squad in years, hampered by a strike force that couldn't score in a brothel. Actually, come to think of it they probably already have.

Hopefully, there will be a major clearout in the summer. Crouch only seems to be able to perform in Europe (apart from this evening), Defoe is beyond useless and 'Arry doesn't seem to like Pav.

I sincerely hope 'Arry gets the England job, I really do.

Arthur Daley will go well with the England job. He'll achieve nothing because the team is shite, and in 5 years time he'll be back where he belongs trying to get a Norwich or a Derby into the Prem

And if I hear one more comment about how he took over when we were facing relegation, when the hapless Ramos was sacked, I will slash my wrists.

Wonder if someone will offer me a ticket for next Wednesday now following tonight's unfortunste set of events?  Just waiting for a meteorite to strike me dead to finish me off!  As for Peter Crouch, unbelievable is all I can say!

To be fair he did take over at Spurs when they were facing certain relegation.

Now here's a proper goal: Stankovic for Milan against Schalke.

Won't see many better than that this season.

Seemed like the football gods were against Spurs last night with the inspirational Lennon feeling unwell just before kick off and then Crouch getting sent off just after kick off. It was always going to be tough but that made it pretty much mission impossible.

I agree that the gods were against them and I also agree that Crouch being sent off put them further on the back foot (even though it was fully justified). What I don't agree with is that they could do no more and that Arry couldn't have prevented it from being 4-0. He did nothing to change the set up at all, SAF, Ancelotti and maybe even Venger would have come away from that match with a fighting chance going into the retuen leg and Spurs had enough on the bench to do that.

Aside from the blindingly obvious I'd like to ask Mr Redknapp precisely why 'attacked minded' Tottenham Hotspur had failed to score in 293 minutes of open play - even before last night's debacle.

It's not an unreasonable question to ask is it?

Of course it is known to be exceedingly difficult to score when you are sitting in the dressing room for most of the match.
