Sorry Guys, didn't realise this thread was open and so wouldn't have spilled my unbridled joy all over the Model Output thread last night if I'd realised!!    Superb Spurs performance last night right through the Team, including Sandro who thus far had failed to impress and yet last night was as disciplined and professional as every other player on display including the substitutes.  COYS!!

Seeing as my flights and hotel are booked for the second leg and I am ticketless any leads on a spare would be gratefully received.

I really hope Arsenal win tonight and manage to eventually dispose of Barca.

1- Because I'd love to see Spurs beat Arsenal at Wembley (unlikely as that will pan out).

2- I actually find Barca's tippy tappy triangulated football utter shite to watch.

Arsenal 1 nil down at half time, have turned the tables and now lead Barca 2-1 with around 10 minutes to play.........excellent stuff come on Gunners

WOW, thought I'd just watch the last 15 min of the Arsenal game, looks like I'm your lucky mascot!  Nice goal from Van Persie by the way.

Full time Arsenal 2-1 Barcelona............Another fantastic result for English Football.........the Gunners hanging on a bit at the end, but that's football and what a great scalp

I fear the result at the Nou Camp may be different, but you just never know, and for the moment it's just good for all Arsenal supporters and in fact all true football supporters, to savour the moment

Excellent performance by Arsenal.

I don't know whether it's remotely possible, but if all four EPL teams managed to get to the semis I wonder if the odious Platini would institute a new rule for next season, such as insisting one of the 10 outfield players had to employ crutches. Or better still, have only one leg.

Barca are certainly beatable, so long as their opposition resist the temptation to be induced into sleep mode. ZZZZZZZZZZ

2145: Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas: "They are the best side in football's history in my opinion. That is one game and this is half-time. It is a nice victory but that's all. If we show it here and not the Camp Nou, it is nothing for us." Goalscorer Robin van Persie: "In our opinion if you drop back too much they are so good they will beat you. We had to beat them in their own style. It was a fantastic result in the end. The fans got us through the game so thanks to them."

Disagree (bolded bit) with Fabregas. Agree (bolded bit) with Van Persie. I would love to see 'Sarge' and Sandro let off the leash against Barca's midfield. Hopefully with a benign referee, otherwise the pair of them would be off in the first 15 mins. Barca are like a Cadbury's creme egg - brittle on the outside, soft as shite on the inside.

Apart from that, not supporting either team takes away the anxiety and means you can sit back and enjoy the football.

Their second goal tonight was as good as any I've ever seen - 100mph and accurate passing from their own box to the other in the blink of an eye and a superb finish.

In fact, the whole game was how I love to see football played.

I'm torn on whether I want them to win, though. Firstly, I want them to win the league and a continuing run in the CL will divert their attention. But then, I do have a massive soft spot for Arsenal and instinctively want them to win. Yet, if they knock Barca out, it removes a massive hurdle for Man U.

A fantastic match last night and as many have said both teams are top top passing sides. Was a great match to watch very technical,  great movement , spells of posession and both teams working so hard to close each other down. Arsenal go to the Nou camp with a fair chance of extending their champs league run !!
