We've had coronaphobia will we now start to see corona fatigue?

It appears the 2m rule will be eased after all?
Employers will not be required to maintain social distancing of two metres between workers under government proposals to reopen the UK's workplaces.

This has been known for weeks. We've seen countless photos of Drs and nurses wearing surgical masks rather than FFP3s and it is one of the obvious signs of the shortage of PPE in the NHS.
Surgical masks recommended by Public Health England for NHS staff dealing with undiagnosed patients do not protect against coronavirus, experts say.
A test of the standard surgical mask, known as Type IIR, found that it was not sealed sufficiently to protect wearers from particles that spread the virus. Unlike the FFP3 industrial mask, worn to treat patients who have tested positive, the surgical mask allows wearers to breathe in unfiltered air from the sides.
The study was conducted by James Douglas, a GP and expert in occupational health and aerosol generating procedures in industry, and Niall McLean, a former councillor with a background in PPE training.

Yes, they could do this instead...

Also mentions screens and other PPE if the two metre rule cant be applied , that's an issue in itself .
I'm interested in hearing the bit about schools if I'm honest , I want to see how the hell that's going to be managed

Yes, but it goes on to say when 2m can't be maintained then "additional measures" could be used.
I'd be happy with that.
"The guidance remains clear that those who can work from home should continue to do so, which suggests office workers will not be returning to work for many weeks - or even months - to come."I'd be happy with that.

This could be because they are late they may feel they have "missed the boat" and the opportunity to contribute much.
I'd put the drop off here down to "topic fatigue" or perhaps "reader fatigue". Much of the earlier thought experiments on the science were fascinating....

Was four nights a week for me. I have my own desk though so I didn't have to hot desk.
Does this mean pubs and hair salons can re-open?

We will know it by then as the govt drip feed information each day. Seems to be a strategy leading up to the bigger announcements. Bit by bit we get to know about them so come the day the announcement just confirms what we know already. I'm quite happy with that. It satisfies the moaning minnie media with their thirst for info, and by providing a piece of info each day it's easier for Joe Public to digest, rather than having it all in one go.
Having just come back from the school there's nothing official yet. As I said to the head of the site team (from 2m away), the corridors are too narrow really to have two abreast, so you'd end up with one pupil at a time going along....
Nothing from the council, either, but the site team have got some masks in. They're also going to order industrial quantities of hand sanistiser from a local company.
EDIT: Just had an email from one of the senior team. They're expecting it'll be years 10 and 12 back first, but still nothing official.

I'm happy to give them a few extra days to get this right, or do the best they can! Let's hope no big negative news comes out from anywhere already relaxing between Thursday and Sunday.
Or perhaps he doesn’t want people letting loose over the bank holiday weekend. Sounds to me like some restrictions may be lifted from next Monday.
As someone who is in the middle of a period of self-isolation owing to being in one of the high-risk groups, I won't be able to return to my office until I am advised by my doctors at my local hospital that it is safe for me to go out and about as normal again, whenever that will be.
Even if that takes again a safe and effective vaccine is available, then so be it.
