I dont think I've ever been so low in the list of predictions... I guess I was just trying really hard not to be swayed by the forecast warmth of week 1 which of course turned out even more spectacular than predicted. Will need an invasion of ice dragons in the second half now to save me from another prediction  disaster.

Don't worry you are still in the competition. You can miss up to 2 entries and still take part. So carry on with the predictions for the rest of the year.

I know this isn’t the E&W sunshine thread but just to note Heathrow has had at least 164 hours of sunshine up to yesterday (the scale I look at only goes up to 13 a day).

After this weekend I reckon we’ll be on at least 190. With the rest of the month looking pretty sunny I think we could hit 300 for the month. Which wouldn’t be far off the record.

It doesn’t look like being a record month for the CET but with all this sunshine comes clear skies, which keeps night time temps down at this time of year.  I wonder how we’re doing regarding the differences between highest and lowest daily temps?
