Happy Easter everyone!!

There were a few sunny intervals first thing this morning but today is once again starting on a mostly dull and overcast note with only the odd break in that cloud cover here and there.

Currently around 7°C here in Edinburgh

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

Rather overcast with the odd chinks of brightness but still dry despite radar showing rain, feeling rather chilly at 10 C & mid-80% H as there is still that brisk NE breeze. Yesterday was the better day with hazy sunshine and a peak of 15.7 C where I did the garden and even sat outside.

Update: I've just fired up the heating. LOL.

The earlier clouds have broken up and it's turned into yet another sunny day here, albeit with a cool wind having picked up from off the North Sea once again.

After that brief wetter spell of weather which we've just had though when our weather has at least been a bit more interesting, this is all becoming rather boring though once again as we once again seem to be returning to that same old high pressure dominated pattern which we had earlier on this month when it was constantly dry all the time with absolutely nothing happening in terms of our actual weather which is even remotely interesting.😡

Currently around 11°C here in Edinburgh

There was a little bit of very early morning sunshine first thing but it's now largely overcast and there's even been some showery rain around to give us a rather damp start to today's proceedings.

Currently around 5°C here in Edinburgh but we have now lost that wind from off the North Sea which has been around in recent days.

Dull, misty over them thar hills. 11.7 C & low-90% H but winds are dead calm. Have the central heating on again currently but saving grace is being relatively quiet for a bank holiday day at the harbour area.

11.7 C, cloudy after some heavy overnight rain (there's puddle in the road for the first time in weeks!) but brightening up from the west

Dull with persistent rain where I've just reached the 10 mm mark, also a brisk southerly breeze is making the current 8.4 C & mid-90% H feel cold. Bit depressing but good for the lawn (for now).

After what was a very dry and sunny early half of April, it turned overcast, damp and dank with the odd spit of rain since. On average, this is usually one of the sunniest periods of the year (second only to the mid-to late May singularity)  but that is being turned on its head this time around!

Still very dry here with 7.8mm for the month.

Wind from NE again today it got going yesterday and has brought in east coast scourge of sea fog but have seen worse as it soon broke up but stayed cool with brief high about 12C. Still some clear patches and only 4C currently.

Has been mostly cloudy with a chilly feeling 12.6 C & low 80% H, it is now trying ever so hard to brighten up as I type.

The lack of posting at the weather end of this site is telling, certainly a sign of the times. Might as well turn this Current Conditions thread into as a monthly thing. Eg: make the next thread as "Current Conditions May 2025".   🤣

Not sure what went wrong with today's forecast but was supposed to be better than yesterday and starting to warm up. has maxed out at 12.4C at 3pm and was 18+ C yesterday. More cloud and more Easterly fetch than predicted I guess.
