I'm quite proud of this latest batch of photos, taken yesterday evening.

Some nice decorative LED lights has just been installed in the old inner harbour wall. Not sure if it's only for the festive period or it'll be a permenant fixture but it made for what it has been a successful and enjoyable photography opportunity, even though it was freezing cold and my trainers had got covered with silt (note to myself: wear wellies next time!). Also it was good that I got my photo mojo back.

At dusk:

And a little later on in the evening . . .

Certainly gives Folkestone a whole new look and feel.

I particularly like the 3rd one.

Brilliantly captured! You must be pleased with those. I particularly like the 3rd and last ones

Wow those are pretty, all excellent but I agree with post above that 3 & 5 are the standouts. Well worth getting silt on your trainers for

The last one is quite surreal - kudos to whoever decided on the alternating blue and yellow lights.
You might try a version of that or a similar one with the reflections cropped out (or only keeping the reflections) to maximise the abstract effect.

They are all superb Ian, but I must admit to finding the last image particularly breathtaking - great job

Cheers for all the lovely comments everyone! Not sure if those lights are there just for the festive period or it will be a permenant fixture but it did have the effect of making me get out there with the camera, certainly needed that bit of motivation.

Wow, that really changes the effect of the harbour Ian.
It looks fantastic what they have down and the effect you have captured is stunning.

These spambots are certainly getting cleverer aren't they?

Anyway, I missed these photos first time around and just wanted to say they look great.

Wow! Holy photo revival thread Batman, haha. Still, it worked to my favour.

Cheers Michael! I'm still the very active shutterbug where I continue to experiment with my photography, as my ongoing photography blog proves: http://idjmedia.blogspot.co.uk/.

I took this only a couple of nights ago . . .

Stunning photos Ian, especially the 3rd and 5th ones. And the last one, taken with the red and blue LED lights is superb.

Cheers for the lovely comment.

Miind you, this section of this fine forum certainly had seen more active days. Perhaps I could make it my duty to bring it back to life?

Seems like a good idea to me, I have seen some stunning shots you have put up before, on diverse subjects.

So I am  at the prospect, over to you master

Would be good, this section doesn't seem to see much posting and I am sure there are some similarly talented people out there.

Cheers Jonesy!

I've been into light painting a lot lately. However the lighter evenings are making it harder to do those since it now doesn't get dark properly until well after 10.15 pm!

Here's some more I made earlier on in Spring:

Also did some wire wool spinning. It just had to be done!

Sorry about the oversized images, it's where I've pulled the URLs from my ongoing photo blog. Too lazy to upload those into photobucket and then resize them in here.
