Raining here in central london at 8.30pm despite assurances from BBC Radio London and other forecasters of a 90% dry evening for the Olympics opening ceremony.

Can they ever get it right???

Observations between 9.30 pm last night and 9 pm currently.

LAST NIGHT: Clear for most of the time, although it became foggy over the hills to the north of Folkestone.
THIS MORNING: Bright at dawnbreak, then murky and cloudy with an odd showery bit of rain for the rest of the morning.
THIS AFTERNOON: Generally cloudy at first, then it brightened up a bit later on in the aftenoon.
CURRENT: Overcast.       19.4 C.         84% humidity.        Dewpoint: 16.6 C.        Calm winds.         Very slow fall to 1008.1 mb.

WINDS: Light to moderate north east last night and into this morning, than light and variable in direction this afternoon.
AIR QUALITY: Poor.
VISIBILITY: Fair. Haze. Poor over high ground this morning due to fog.
COMFORT FACTOR: Stuffy, airless and warm. Damp at times in morning, a little drier in afternoon.
RAINFALL (in mm):   Nil.
TEMPERATURES (in C):         Max: 20.7 at 5 pm.            Min: 17.3 C at 5.30 am.
PRESSURE (in mb):             Max: 1013.8 at 11.15 pm last night.          Min: 1007.7 at 6.30 pm.
