Here is a summary of the latest NWP output for noon (GMT) on Tuesday. Issued 0426z, 9/06/12.

ECMWF: http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Recm1201.gif
A col covers the UK, as is the case on day 6. Day 7 sees easterlies as low pressure deepens to the SW, followed by northerlies on day 8 as the low moves eastwards. There are SW'lies on day 9 from a low to the NW, followed by westerlies for most on day 10 as the low fills over Scotland.

MetO: http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rukm1201.gif
MetO shows a col over the UK on days 5 and 6.

GFS: http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rtavn1201.png
The UK lies under a col. Easterlies spread from the south on day 6, followed by a trough on day 7. Winds by then are NE'lies for Scotland and Northern Ireland, with southerlies elsewhere. Low pressure moves over Wales on day 8 and by day 9 the UK lies under lighter WNW'lies and a weak ridge. There are WSW'lies on day 10 as the ridge persists.

GEM: http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rgem1201.gif
GEM has a weak trough across the UK, with light northerlies and WNW'lies as a result.

JMA: http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rjma1201.gif
The Japanese run brings a weak trough over the UK as per the Canadian run.

In summary, the middle of the week will see a couple of days with light winds and scattered showers as a weak trough moves over the UK. Towards the end of the week low pressure will approach from the SW, bringing further wind and rain.

I do not believe in a word that you say, but I will defend with my life, if need be, your right to say it.
