If I knew in advance that Chelsea were going to win the CL Spurs may as well forfeit their remaining games and send the players on their hols.
Chelsea haven't won the CL yet - they have some of their best players out of the final because of bookings and there is the little matter of facing Bayern Munich (at home) or Real Madrid.
However, fair play to Chelsea - a sterling performance - they got through despite Barcelona winning a predictable penalty which Messi missed
If I was a Chelsea fan I'd be hoping that Real get into the final instead of Bayern. I know that man for man Real are probably the better side but I can well imagine what that stadium will be like on the night on the final should the Germans reach it; Munich's version of the San Siro probably.
Of course there would be an advantage as it would be their home ground. But on the stands it would be different. The ticketing for these Euro finals is worse than the FA Cup. By the time all of the neutrals and the UEFA / FIFA officials have taken their chunk what is left for the supporters of the two sides is usually small! Chelsea should in theory get the same number of supporters tickets as Bayern fans, should they reach the final of course.
I remember tryng to get tickets for the UEFA Cup fianl in 2007, there were only 12,000 tickets per club that year for supporters!!!!!! I was lucky as I entered a ballot and got a couple in a 'neutral area'.
I remember the game well, sitting in a bar in Cyprus and witnessing Shhhteeve being tactically raped. The F.A. really should have factored this game in before giving him the England job.
To be fair Seville did one hell of a job on us that day, they were a very very good side indeed that year. The fact we were still in the game well in to the second half and had a very good penalty decision turned away when it was still only 1 - 0 was significant.
After that we didn't have anything left in the tank, we did the best we could and we didn't disgrace ourselves.
If the oaf Terry is not playing, then perhaps I could bring myself to cheer them on in the final. Must be annoying for Platini and the other Uefa tools that it wont be the dream El clasico final

I'd normally want the English club to win (apart from Scum-U. Obviously), but after the antics of the Chav fans in the minute's silence for Hillsborough victims, I was wanting Barca to properly turn them over.
Hopefully the Liverpool fans will get their revenge in the Cup Final - both on the pitch and off it.
What a dull game this evening. Certainly didn't live up to last night's match, which was the greatest in the modern CL era.

lol, well I did frown a little, but I stand by what i said, the first half was wayyyyyy better than the second. The penalty shootout was good though - I think Ramos' penalty might have hit a plane on its way back down to Earth.
I hope Chelsea lose too, as a full flowing, attacking Bayern side would be great to watch. I just think Chelsea will frustrate them though. An early Bayern goal would be an ideal beginning to the game.

I don't understand the reaction. His punishment is to be prevented from playing in the Final and perhaps lose his last chance of doing so. Why would anyone deprive him, as club captain, of the chance to share in the victory - to which he contributed through the entire campaign bar 48 minutes in the Nou Camp?
I'm not going to lie Gandalf, but I suspect you know the answer to that. He is a vile tosser of a human being and I'd happily watch a live feed of him sobbing his eyes out in the dressing room/stands whilst his team-mates celebrate winning the Champions league. Sorry if you find that disappointing but I cannot stand the bloke.
Yes, I am aware of the dislike of the man. What I struggle with are the double standards. If we're going to condemn players for their behaviour and way of life then there is quite a long list, don't you think?
Whatever happened to 'forgive and forget' I wonder? If you found yourself in a similar situation I would think you would wish for and expect sympathy and understanding, would you not?
