Sometimes I struggle to understand the positions you take here and this is a gold-plated example.
I hope you don't approach your wife and kids that way.....
How are you on stocks of indigestion tablets, by the way?
I dont get the indigestion tablets bit.

That's the saddest most whingey, Rant I've heard in a long time. Dev.
Thanks for sharing it with us.
Why would that be AIMSIR?
It seemed to me to be a perfectly pitched piece of irony.
I find it intriguing that you felt it appropriate to comment on Dev's post whilst ignoring completely the extraordinary post by Lawrence that led to my riposte and Dev's post? Perhaps you would care to enlighten us....
As regards your 600,000 year high on co2 post, so was yours.
Happy now?.
Hey don't associate me with doom and gloom and by the way I thought my post actually showed the ice-core record; that when shown in total proportions made the so called hockey stick look like a worn out, wet, second hand, pound shop bootlace.
Humans are the pinnacle of this planets history and thankfully any additional Co2 is more than welcolmed to help with better food production which will enable us to crack the ultimate goal-endless energy . That will enable science and the globe to flourish and hopefully allow the future generations a chance of survival , if as history has shown us , things really turn bad.
For all the doom and gloom of the AGW movement not one ice cream van, deck chair attendent and whelk stool has yet been forced to change route or head for higher ground as a result of catastrophic sea-level rises. yet people still scream we're all going to drown..
Sorry but that's how I see it.
That's fine - you're perfectly entitled to your views. I and others just think you're missing the point.
The point about more CO2 aiding food production has already been justly ridiculed here - it's not proven and in any event there are other more pressing issues affecting food production which are not soluble. A few minutes research on problems with water supply, irrigation and soil quality should alert you on this point. Beyond that think about moving climate zones and the impact on the main wheat and rice growing regions.
Sorry I just felt you needed a bit of cheering up Gandalf, you need to chillax!

Thanks.
Another few lines like that and I'll have the makings of a new screensaver....
excellant.
Yes, I like that too Gandalf.
whelk stool
Freudian slip?
Keep your cross dressing to yourself and its off topic
One of the most concerning aspects of the dicussion on this forum is that AGW denail seems to go along with other spects of antiscience such as denial of CFCs causing the ozone hole, denial of the adverse health effects of asbestos, insecticides, passive smoking, evolution etc etc . This is a challenge for better science education in schools and through the media of the public in general.

Although evolution in some aspects is another can of worms, chicken, egg and all that.
It's interesting that a number of people very prominent in their refutal of the idea human activity affects climate, also refute evolution.
Coincidence?
Edit: btw, the order is worm, egg, chicken

You spoken to a pistachio or an almond lately? You'd be surprised what they have to say
Saying if you don't go along with the supposed 'consensus' opinion of imminent disasterous warming means you probably have irrational opinions on various other topics is rather a irrational viewpoint. It assumes for a start that the 'consensus' was not manufactured in some way.
As opposed to promoting catastrophic global cooling .....
