Congrats and good luck for next season.  Went to Loftus road a couple of years back for the 0-1 reverse with Norwich in abismal conditions where the highlight of the game was the Norwich fan who celebrated his side's goal by running onto the pitch falling flat on his face in the mud and being ejected to rapturous applaus from his fellow fans!!  Say hello to Adel for me!

Yesterday's performance by Man U, rather empitomises their season - blowing hot and then cold - although I was surprised by their lack of constructive endeavour given their recent run of results. Maybe they had one eye on the Schalke game or maybe they thought it would just happen; in any event it didn't!

Of course if Man U win their next 2 games at Old Trafford it all becomes pretty much accademic.......barring a complete balls up in their last two games of the season they will regain the Premiership crown and will have reached the final of the Champions League..........not a bad season all in all

Squeaky bum time

Given the gap of 15 points I gave of us no chance of catching them. But its a 'funny old game'

Anyway onwards and upwards, whether you're particularly interested or not, where's your money on the Man U/Chelsea game tomorrow?

Bale after being done by Charlie Adam this afternoon. If he has avoided a broken ankle/leg I will be surprised.

I've given up complaining about poor officiating - there is absolutely no point.

Have to say that does look nasty.....let's hope the injury is not as serious as you're suggesting. On the subject of refereeing I'm not sure what the answer is short of there being better interaction between the ref and the other officiators given that video/electronic assistance would create the diversions experienced in both tennis and cricket, but would work to the detriment of football IMHO (shrugs shoulders!)

I won't offer an opinion on this one because I'd be going back on my previous post about poor officiating. That said, I'd need to know who the ref is.

One thought I had would be to have another referee monitoring the play from off the pitch, who would be able to see a replay and then inform the ref at the next natural break in play. In other words, Adams could have been sent off three or or four minutes later, if the offence was deemed a straight red.

OK, just found out that Howard Webb is officiating on Sunday.

So that will be a home win for United.

Looking forward to todays game between United and Chelsea! Just need to get over the disappointment of yesterday. I put £2 on an accumulator, they all came off except Blackpool didn't beat Tottenham! I hate Defoe, would have won £840!

Great performance by Man U yesterday and barring a total disaster in the last 2 games a record 19th prem title beckons. A season which on the whole has been short of the quality of previous seasons, tho SAF has dragged his team to the top of the pile once again, a masterclass in management. Man U were so fired up for this game yesterday and left Chelsea shellshocked after a blistering first 30mins which left them with a mountain to climb. Liverpool have finally been knocked off their domestic perch !!!

Yes I think Man United have shown this season that it's a lot more than just having the best players. They can now quite rightly say that they are the best, most decorated club in the country, well done to them.

Looks like all the excitement this year is going to be at the bottom, it's looking more and more like 3 from 4 but Blackburn could get dragged back in it yet.
