Thanks peeps oSmile We've updated day 6 in our blog now. It was a fun day, but could have been even more fun as we were within a few miles of a large waterspout (tornado over water oWink) yet didn't see it! Ah well, still time yet. Our running blog is here: http://www.1whitley.co.uk/chaseflorida.htm

    Bren, I am soooo jealous!

Love the blog its great, we'll have to meet up one evening over a beer and share stories/photos etc. My wife and I did tornado chasing in '05 and were five minutes behind the F5 that hit Harper County. Just the most awesome thing I have ever seen, yet also so 'otherworldly'.

Anyhow keep up the good work and if you ever fancy meeting up, my wifes' best friend runs 'The Leg' in Ashtead so a convenient place for us both.

Cheers Jason! I'd be up for that. I hadn't realised you'd been chasing yourself (or maybe I've just forgotten and you've already told me a dozen times oBlush)

The images of the convective billows darkening under the upper sheet, with the pileus sitting like mist in a hollow are awesome.

    Re: Chase Florida Daily Blog

Yesterday was a guddun, with great looking clouds, a decent night-time lightning display and even a small funnel. It was also a triumph in chasing and forecasting the positions of outflow boundaries and sea-breezes!

We've updated our log here with around 30 photos: http://www.1whitley.co.uk/chaseflorida.htm

I am really enjoying reading your accounts of your time spent chasing over in Florida Bren and Laura!

    The photos are superoBig Smile

I was over in Florida last summer and I can remember quite vividly the clouds and storms that I saw.

Shame the weather over here in Scotland can't be a bit more exciting...

Holy cow, that evil cloud photo is superb. I thought it was a volcanic ash cloud at first glance!

Keep up the good work guys and hope you're having a ball out there. Big Smile
