UKV, Friday 9th May [Tap animation to toggle cities]
Tonight dry conditions will continue. Despite clear periods temperatures should generally hold up well enough to prevent frost.
Tomorrow brings a very similar picture. Sunny periods develop widely and temperatures continue to rise. Maximum values close to 24°C are likely.
UKV, Saturday 10th May [Tap animation to toggle cities]
The next few days will bring some changes. Temperatures continue to rise on Sunday, possibly reaching 27°C in southern Britain and 23°C in Scotland. However, the risk of heavy showers will increase in southwestern Britain, and there may be outbreaks of rain in the far northwest.
Next week may start off rather mixed, with heavy and thundery showers in places. Drier conditions are expected to return fairly quickly as areas of low pressure move away and high pressure becomes dominant again. In this type of setup, rainfall amounts are likely to vary considerably over short distances.
