The spell of fine and warm weather continues today, with temperatures climbing even higher than yesterday. The peak of the warmth is expected tomorrow, when 29°C or even 30°C may be reached in the south. The prospects for the Bank Holiday weekend are looking good, although it will be cooler.

The whole of the UK can expect a dry and warm day. Sunny periods will develop widely, with the best of them in southern and central areas.
Temperatures climb a little higher than yesterday, making it likely to be the warmest day of the year so far. Values will range from 18°C in the far northwest to 28°C in the south. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

Tonight patchy outbreaks of rain push southeastwards across Northern Ireland and Scotland. England and Wales have a dry and balmy night.
Tomorrow the patchy rain in the north fades away, leaving mostly dry conditions, although it is likely to turn wet in the far north and west of Scotland. England and Wales have sunny periods and many places remain dry, although there is a risk of thundery showers in central counties. Temperatures are expected to even higher than today's, peaking at 29°C or even 30°C.

During the next few days cooler conditions will develop. That said, even by Saturday temperatures in much of England and Wales are still likely to reach the low or even mid-20s°C. It will also be mostly fine, although there is a risk of showery rain affecting parts of the south.
By Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday temperatures probably won’t be too far from the early May average. A lot of fine weather is expected.
