Meteo France Arpege, Tuesday 29th April [Tap animation to toggle cities]
Wednesday and Thursday are expected to bring the warmest weather of the year so far. Temperatures could reach 28°C in one or two southern locations. Even in Scotland and Northern Ireland 22°C or 23°C is very possible.
Very warm conditions are likely on Friday, at least in the southern half of the UK. In the north a band of cloud and patchy rain could be pushing southwards, bringing cooler conditions with it. However, there is a high degree of uncertainty about developments from this point onwards. Some computer models are hinting at spells of thundery rain moving up from the south at the weekend.
