High pressure will dominate the weather through the coming week. Temperatures rise day by day and it is expected to become very warm or even hot. By Thursday values could peak close to 28C. Somewhat cooler conditions probably return later.

Outbreaks of rain in the northwest steadily ease, although they are likely to remain persistent in northern and western Scotland for much of the day. Elsewhere it will be dry with sunny spells developing more widely in southern and central areas than yesterday.
Temperatures range from 12°C in the north west to 21°C in the south east. Check the weather radar for the most up to date view.

Tomorrow northern and western Scotland have further spells of rain. The rest of the UK has a fine and warm day. Temperatures peak close to 23°C.

Tuesday is likely to be fine across the UK. It will be warm, with temperatures widely climbing into the low to mid-20s°C.
Wednesday is expected to be the warmest day of the year so far. All areas have dry conditions, but in the far northwest cloud could be persistent. In other areas sunny periods develop widely.
The fine weather is forecast to continue across much of the UK during Thursday and Friday. Temperatures may reach 28°C in the south.
